Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

What makes Quietly different from other habit apps?

Quietly uses weekly goals instead of daily streaks. Miss a day? No problem—your progress shows "3 of 5 this week" instead of "Streak Lost." We built Quietly for real life, where weekends get busy and sick days happen.

How do I create my first habit?

Tap the + button at the bottom of the screen. Give your habit a name, choose a color, and select your schedule (daily, specific days, or a target number of times per week). That's it!

What's the difference between the schedule types?

Daily: For habits you want to do every day. Specific Days: For habits tied to certain days (like Tuesday yoga). Times Per Week: For flexible goals where you choose when to complete them.

Features

How do I skip a day?

Swipe right on any habit and tap "Skip." Your weekly target adjusts automatically—if you skip one day of a 5-day goal, it becomes 4 days with no penalty. Perfect for rest days, travel, or when life gets in the way.

How do widgets work?

Long-press your Home Screen and tap + to add a widget. Quietly offers small (progress ring) and medium (habit list) widgets. You can complete habits directly from the medium widget without opening the app.

How does Health app integration work?

When creating or editing a habit, enable "Health Integration" and choose a metric (steps, exercise minutes, sleep, or mindful minutes). Quietly will automatically mark your habit complete when you reach your goal—no manual tracking needed.

How do I view my analytics?

Tap the chart icon in the top navigation to access your analytics. You'll see contribution calendars, monthly breakdowns, and insights into your habit patterns. Premium users get full access to all historical data.

Syncing & Data

How does iCloud sync work?

If you enabled iCloud during setup, your habits sync automatically across all your iPhones signed into the same Apple ID. Changes appear on other devices within a few minutes. You can check sync status in Settings.

How do I archive or delete a habit?

Swipe left on any habit and tap "Archive." This keeps your history safe but removes it from your daily view. You can view archived habits in Settings if you ever want to restore them.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. Your habit data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud container. We cannot see your habits, completion history, or any personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Premium & Purchases

What do I get with Premium?

Premium unlocks unlimited habits (free users can track up to 3), all 8 color themes, and full access to detailed analytics. It's a one-time purchase—no subscription, no recurring charges.

How do I restore my purchase?

Go to Settings > Premium > Restore Purchases. Since Quietly is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID, you can restore it on any device. If restoration fails, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase.

Do you offer refunds?

All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com within 14 days of purchase.

Troubleshooting

My widgets aren't updating

Try removing and re-adding the widget. If that doesn't work, open the Quietly app once—this refreshes the widget data. Widgets update automatically but may take a few minutes to reflect changes.

Health integration isn't auto-completing my habits

Make sure you've granted Quietly permission to read Health data (Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Quietly). Health data is checked when you open the app, so open Quietly once after your workout to trigger the auto-complete.

I'm not receiving reminders

Check that notifications are enabled for Quietly in your iPhone Settings (Settings > Notifications > Quietly). Also ensure reminders are turned on within the app (Settings > Reminders).
